I’m sure Roustem and Dave are busy addressing this issue and will come out with a fix soon. But in the meantime, this is one good reason for 1Password users to wait a while before upgrading Safari.

For those who haven’t tried 1Password, it is a great cross-browser password manager and more. 1Password rocks. Check it out here.

One of my biggest gripes with Leopard was Stacks. Showing the contents of a folder rather than the icon of that folder itself simply made no sense to me. As a Mac user, I was annoyed by this behavior. As the developer of FolderBrander, this was really bad news because it made FolderBrander much less useful.

Fortunately, the latest update to OS X brings back the pre-Leopard behavior as an option. Ctrl-click on the folder in the Dock and select “Folder” for the “Display as” option. Macworld has a nice article by Dan Frakes summarizing the update with a brief mention of FolderBrander.

No, he wasn’t writing to beg me to go back and work for them. He happens to be a TapDex user and was experiencing some issues after upgrading to Leopard. I told him to grab the latest version and the problem went away.

Amazon is selling VMware Fusion for $60 with free shipping. That’s $20 less than if you were to download and purchase a license directly from VMware.

If you are like me and have no patience, just download a copy from VMware and request a 30-day free trial license. Use the trial license until your copy arrives. Mine arrived this afternoon. I replaced the trial serial number with the one from the box and now I have a licensed copy.

I meant to post this earlier because there was a $20 rebate. The offer expired on Dec 31, 2007. But even without the rebate, this is still a great price. Amazon also carries Parallels Desktop for about $18 less than the retail price.
