Monday, May 19th, 2008

TapDex is in the news again! This time on one of my favorite Mac tips sites, macosxhints.com. TapDex is this week’s software pick.

Rob Griffiths raised some good points regarding TapDex’s weaknesses. I will be addressing them in the near future.

TapDex on Mac Gems

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Dan Frakes posted a nice review of TapDex on Macworld’s online Mac Gems column.

Before he posted the entry, he contacted me with a frequently asked question - how does one copy a field (e.g. phone number or address) to the clipboard. Prior to TapDex 3.3.3, you do this by clicking on the field name. While this is the way Address Book does it, it is not very intuitive. Most people try to Ctrl-click or right-click on the field body instead and that didn’t work.

I’ve just released TapDex 3.3.3 to address this confusion. You can now ctrl-click or right-click anywhere in a field to get the contextual menu with all the actions you can perform.
